Photography MA Graduates of Budapest Metropolitan University Showcase Their Work at FUGA
This year again, students of the Photography program at Budapest Metropolitan University present exciting and thought-provoking diploma projects, which will be on display for the public at FUGA – Budapest Center of Architecture. The opening of the diploma exhibition will take place on July 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the downtown venue (1052 Budapest, Petőfi Sándor utca 5.), and the exhibition will be open until July 13.
The exhibition will be opened by Péter Pettendi Szabó, Head of the Photography program.
“Every generation has both the opportunity and the responsibility to respond to its challenges in meaningful ways. A broad understanding of the world enables the formulation of good questions. Knowing one’s medium increases the freedom to effectively share those questions and opinions,”
emphasized the program leader in connection with the opening.
The works of the recent graduates explore what concerns today’s young visual thinkers through various technical approaches in photography. One of the special features of the exhibition is its remarkable diversity—both in content and form. Alongside artistically grounded research projects, the exhibition includes results of experimental practice, documentary approaches, and visual solutions that push the boundaries of fashion photography.
The curator of the exhibition is Dóra Taskovics, assistant lecturer at METU’s Department of Visual Communication.
METU is committed to offering its students educational and presentation opportunities that support them in launching their professional and autonomous artistic careers. This diploma exhibition is a striking and meaningful closing event of that endeavor.
Entry to the exhibition is free of charge.
We warmly welcome all visitors!
