Activism and Documentary

The 12th Finnish Film Days were held between 15 and 19 February 2023 at the Toldi Cinema in Budapest. The film festival is not only for fans of Finnish films but for everyone interested in films and Finns. As part of the film festival program, FinnAgora and METU Concept Agency organized a panel discussion on "Activism and Documentary".

“Just Animals” documentary film

During the panel discussion, the Finnish documentary filmmaker Saila Kivelä also talked about her first film, Just Animals. The film was shown for the first time at the Finnish Film Days in Toldi Cinema. The director started documenting frames of the story in 2011 during her court case, where she was accused of taking illegal footage of animal farms.
