Spotlight on the Circular Economy – Successful English-Language Course at METU

Budapest Metropolitan University (METU) has been deeply committed to sustainability and the circular economy for several years. Reflecting this dedication, the Institute of Circular Economy offers engaging, hands-on learning opportunities to students each semester – in both Hungarian and English.

One of the most successful and popular courses is Circular Visions, taught with exceptional expertise and enthusiasm by Master Instructor György József Mudri. The course has proven especially popular among international students, who explore core models, strategic approaches, and practical tools related to the circular economy. It goes beyond theoretical foundations to empower students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts – such as developing sustainability strategies in their future careers.

During the final, optional session of the course, students visited the MOL Campus, where they gained a first-hand look at the company's sustainability initiatives. This experience further highlighted the course’s emphasis on practice-based education.
