Second International Staff Training Week at METU

The International Coordination Office organized the second "International Staff Training Week" program at METU between 11-15 December to which we mainly invited colleagues dealing with Erasmus-related duties and international affairs from various partner countries. Our guests came from Slovakia and Georgia. The main purpose of the event was to present the Faculties and organizational units of the university, to get to know our (future) partners, to evaluate the work done so far and to set common goals.

During the week, our guests were able to gain an insight into the operation of METU’s various organizational units and the group also visited the two Faculties of METU. The participants were able to meet several lecturers and colleagues, which was an excellent opportunity to discuss possible further collaborations and good practices.

In addition to the official programs, there was also time to get to know Budapest; the group visited the Vörösmarty square Christmas market, we saw the Parliament building and the Danube bank, and on the last day we visited the Museum of Ethnography and the Városliget.

We would like to make the Staff Training Week a tradition, so the next event is planned to be held in the Spring of 2024.
