The algorithm of design: interview with METU professor Adél Kovács

In the interview with Hype&Hyper, fashion designer and METU full-time professor Adél Kovács shares her inspiring life story and talks about the fusion of fashion and design and her never-ending desire to learn.

Besides teaching at Budapest Metropolitan University, Adél Kovács is a succesful fashion designer, design consultant and trend forecaster. Throughout her career she had been the Co-creative Director and Designer for the Women, Men and Accessory lines of NUBU for eight years. In 2020, she designed the uniform of the Hungarian Olympic Team for the Olympics in Tokyo.
Adél Kovács has been teaching on art programs of METU for over six years and is actively engaged in talent care at the university. She is currently working on her doctoral research in the prestigious Breuer Marcell Doctoral School DLA programme.
In the interview with Hype&Hyper, Adél talks about the path that led her to a career in fashion and teaching, how her views of both fields have changed,and she gives an insight into her projects, plans, and her doctoral research on the relationship between fashion and architecture.
